October 15th, 2001 Bob - Anti-SOS article

God damn I'm pissed. DAMN I'M PISSED. I'm so enraged right now that I can't even explain it in words. Just goto the SOS section NOW and read my incoherent rant.

October 10th, 2001 Bob - SMS DVD5 review

And just like Dan, here's me almost going a month without updating. We're both very bad boys. It's a good thing there's three of us or else this site would never get updated ~_^.

Anyway, onto the goods. I got the SMS Heart Collection V DVD today so I have some nifty (or not so nifty) cover art to bring you.

Heart Collection V Front Art
Heart Collection V Reverse Art
Heart Collection V Insert

As for the DVD itself....Nothing all that special about it. The subtitles seemed a bit hard to read this time around, I think they might have changed the subtitles so that they are really thin now, I'm not sure though since I didn't really check. This DVD's main "Character" is Sailor Mars, and I assume Sailor Venus will be next (which I think is dumb cause that leaves the Outers' for the SuperS season which they aren't in O.o;;;). The Extra on the disk is the Japanese Opening #3. That leaves an unknown extra (if any) for the next disc. Personally, I hope they include the end-of-episode previews for the final disc, everyone keep your fingers crossed! Now, as for the DVD quality, the Japanese track is muffled, like usual. It's really starting to get on my nerves now but I'll live. This disc has many of the best episodes in S so this is a must have disc, content-wise. So, go out and buy it! Support Pioneer!!

Now, onto other business....I'm a bad bad little boy. You know what I'm talking about, the SuperS movie comparison. Sorry guys, I've had little or no time to work on it between school and work....Luckily though it SHOULD be done soon. I'll try and not procrastinate anymore ^^;;;

Finally, I MET LATOYA AND JERMAINE JACKSON, NYA NYA! *sticks out tongue* Heh, that's a story in itself though and I'll save that for a future update ^^;;; (I even have pictures too ^_^).

That's it for now, c ya'll soon (hopefully).

September 21st, 2001 Dan - Big cover art update

Wow, I can't believe I almost made it to a month of me not updating, just a day short. As some of you know, I moved to college soon after my last update, and I've gone through a couple interesting situations since then, but I love it here at college much more than home. More freedom, more time, I love it. Anyways, I'm finally in a state to do updates just as I was before, and today we've got some cover art for the fifth S set a bit earilier than normal as well as a small little change on that, and even cover art for the DVD Movie Box set. So head on over to misc and check out the great art!

September 13th, 2001 Bob - Corrections and more

First off, our hearts and thoughts go out to those that were lost in the WTC attack. I've taken down the message for now but it might go back up in the future. Second, I've made some changes to episode 122. Biroi's name has been changed to "Viluy", the correct name. My bad, peepz. Oh, one final note. Now that school has started I'm finding VERY VERY VERY VERY little time to be able to work on comparisons. Between work and school I have very little free time. I'll try and squeeze that SuperS movie comparison in as soon as I possibly can, but it might not be another 2+ weeks before it goes up. ;_; Please bear with me here =(

September 3rd, 2001 Bob - Anti-SOS article and new editorial

There have been some new developments, so I've made note of them. One of them is in the SOS section, and the other one is in the form of a brand new editorial! YAY! Go ahead and check them out.

September 2nd, 2001 Bob - S movie posted

Welcome back to all those who just found out about our new address!

First off, be sure to read all previous updates we've made since we've continued to update the ryusan site even though the tuxedomask one was down.

Second, the S movie comparison is up! YAY! Sorry it took so long to get it up, but it ended up just being one thing after another and I just couldn't find the time to put it up. Mosey on over to the series section to read it.

That's it for now!

August 22nd, 2001 Dan - New cover art

Finally, the covers for the edited VHSs of the fourth S Set are out, and damn they look good! Head over to misc to see. Also, I'm moving to college this weekend, and I'm packing and all that stuff, so don't expect to see me for a few days, see you all when I get settled in!

August 21st, 2001 Dan - Ranting and new news

Let me start off by explaining the server problems in a little more detail than Bob gave, and give my feelings on it. For the site move, yes I was ready, yes I made sure this site was ready and kept it updated here, and yes I expected something to screw up. I am greatly dissappointed at tuxedomask.com for the way they arranged their bandwidth policy. I can understand why they started one, but the way they started using it is unacceptable. Basically, in the first two couple days of August, all webmasters having a site there got an e-mail telling us of the new policy, and everything regarding it. However, there was a slight flaw I noticed, and that was that they said all sites would have 6GB alloted bandwidth in JULY. After Bob told me he thought SMU would have to move, I figured I had to worry about MKBO (and glad I did, it would've lasted like only 2 more days) and went to the bandwidth indicator and saw that it said 6GB for this month, which confused me. Now, I wasn't worried about MKBO the same way Bob was worried about SMU, I didn't think there would be a problem for MKBO with the new restriction until Bob showed worry of SMU, and seeing that he was worried knew I should be scared, because MKBO is known for having the LD covers and that would use a lot of bandwidth. So I talked to Ryusan, and she agreed to host both sites, and I immeditely moved them. I deleted all of MKBO off of tuxedomask.com and made the ryusan.net one the only one up, and announced it everywhere, and changed the link here. I wanted to do the same with SMU, but Bob thought we would be ok. I don't blame him though, with the bandwidth indicator saying we had 6GB for the month. Sure I laughed when I first saw that page saying SMU was down, but I can't blame him for not worrying too much, he has his other stuff to worry about too. I blame the lack of service given to us by tuxedomask.com for the problems. They sent their mail on it meant for July in August, and just made the enforcement change with no warning whatsoever. I find this highly unfair not only to us, but also the other webmasters of sites that got unexpectedly shut down, and the many site goers to all those sites. I believe they owe everyone an apology for this, and put all the sites back up, and give the ones who need to move some time to move and put their new URL on their tuxedomask.com site like I was able to do just in time. They started this policy very poorly, and everyone deserves that much. Having said all that, let's move on to the actual content of today's update, as you all very well know I hate non-content updates.

Going through my normal daily routine last night, I found some interesting news. It's not really big, but worth posting. Head on over to the misc section to see the news. Also, the taping of the first season dub has been going well, I'm going to be sending Bob a bunch of tapes near the end of the month or beginning of September which will include the first 20 episodes of the first season, and every episode from R with the exception of the Doom Tree episodes, as when I noticed that my local Fox was airing Sailor Moon, I checked to see where they were, and they were smack dab in the middle of those episodes, so I'll have to get those after the first season ends. So just wait as Bob finishes up the movies, then the comparisions for the first two seasons will begin.

August 19th, 2001 Bob - Site move and Tiff's birthday ^_^

Hey guys.

Well, if you're here, you've probably heard about the server issues we've been having recently.....*cough*....

First, I must admit that a bit of this server madness is my fault. I had known about the tuxedomask.com bandwidth limitations and our bandwidth situation since the beginning of the month. I truly should have done something sooner. Unfortunately, our bandwidth monitor said that we had 6 GB of bandwidth this month so I decided (against some suggestions from Dan and Tiff) to just be a little lazy since "we had the rest of the month".

Boy did that come back and slap me in the face.

Apparently we DIDN'T have 6 GB of bandwidth this month (damn tuxedomask.com....grrr). So anyway, this will hopefully be our new permanent address.....HOPEFULLY.....

Luckily, Dan stayed on top of everything and constantly updated this server (which we've had since early this month) with the stuff we changed on the tuxedomask.com server. Thus no information has been lost (yay!).

Umm...I think that's all for now......Oh yeah, I almost forgot.........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TIFF!!!!!! *HUGS*

August 15th, 2001 Bob - SMS DVD4 review

Hey ya'll. A few things to go over.

First off, I've got the new Sailor Moon S: Heart Collection IV DVD. ^_^ First, I'd like to say that this DVD has been the best DVD so far. The menus were done in the same way that the others were (this one featuring Sailor Mercury), but they're better.....You'll have to actually see it to know what I'm talking about. Also, the cover art was absolutely amazing. The best cover art yet, in my humble opinion. Speaking of cover art, I got some news scans waiting for you all!

Heart Collection IV Front Art
Heart Collection IV Reverse Art
Heart Collection IV Insert

Next, unfortunately, Tuxedomask.com is starting a new policy which only gives us about half a Gigabyte of bandwidth a month, and after that our site will go offline. Thus, we're being forced to move ONCE AGAIN. Such an inconveniance for not only us, but for all of you as well. Don't worry, after this move you probably wont have to worry about another one ever again. Dan will have more details on it in the future. Everything wont be rushed like it was last time, so don't worry too much ~_^.

Last, I have to apologize for not having more movie comparisons up earlier. I've been EXTREMELY busy lately and I haven't found the time to do any more. The S comparison is partly done, but I need time to finish it. Hopefully it will be done soon.

I think that's about it for now, ja ne!

August 14th, 2001 Dan - News post added

Today the fourth S Set comes out, and I'm sure that Bob will have the DVD soon and give his mini-review on it with scans. He might actually beat out the online stores on scanning the cover, because even though today is the release date, the covers for the DVD and the edited VHSs still aren't up. However, I found out a couple things while looking for them, so head on over to the misc section to see what they are.

August 6th, 2001 SMU Staff - SMU 1 year anniversary ^_^

Wow, one whole year. I'm literally speechless. Watching this site take off from nothing into a very popular Sailor Moon site was just amazing. Hopefully our next year will be just as successful! Well, since it IS our anniversary, I wouldn't come without presents, would I? If you mosey on over to the series section, you'll see that there is a new section of pcitures! Yes, they are the pictures for the MOVIE COMPARISONS! Currently the R movie is up and ready to be read! But don't think that that's the end! The S and SuperS Movie comparisons are almost ready to go up as well! Check back in the next few days for MORE movie comparisons! WOOOOHHHH! YAY! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! *POPS OPEN THE EXPENSIVE CHAMPAGNE*

*takes mic from Bob* Wow, one year, I still don't believe it, heh. As Bob metioned, we've got the R movie comparision up, with the other two to come soon. And soon after that, we'll be starting off the first season here. The first episode aired on my local FOX today, so I'm going to be taping the first two seasons and sending them to Bob as I finish tapes. What's even better is that my college gets the same FOX that I have here, so the only thing I have to worry about is hoping they don't take it off with the fall season. Anyways, for the one year, I've got a new editorial up. It's more of an anime in general type of editorial than an Sailor Moon one, but still very approiate for here. It's basically about the problems with translating anime and American society and stuff like that. It's a good read and I hope you enjoy it! Now here's Tiff. *hands mic to Tiff and starts guzzling Bob's champaigne*

Tiff here! Wow, it's been one year...I didn't even realize it was until Bob told me, and even then I didn't believe him. ^_^ Slaving all summer on those graphics really DID pay off, ne? Well, as you've probably already found out, we have a nice movie comparison for you, and a new pretty kanji logo (*cough* made by me *cough*), all for you! So enjoy and celebrate SMU's 1 year anniversary, and we hope to be writing another one of these next august! Ja ne! *snatches bottle from dan, guzzles what's left, and then falls over* @.@

August 3rd, 2001 Dan - More cover art

I wanted to say this earilier, but since I'm not one to do a non-content update, I'll say it now since I have content. Everyone who sent in a link submission from way back should've gotten an e-mail from me a while ago, with one exception who decided to IM me before I wrote all the e-mails. Now the real update is that Pioneer has released some cover art for the next S set, so head on over to misc and see the nice art.

July 18th, 2001 Dan - Links section updated

Like I promised, the links page has been updated, and within a week from submissions being closed as well, so I think this new policy should work. Now for the stats of what was submitted to me, if anyone is curious. A total of ten links were e-mailed to me during that week and a half or so time frame. Of those ten, four were added. One as a great site, one as a good site, and two as non-SM sites. While I plan to e-mail all the people who sent a link, I'd like to metion on here some of my findings of the sites not accepted. A couple seem to try to make some sort of effort, but look like they're just thrown together with random stuff. A distro site had no links to any of it's sections. One site was really good, except I couldn't read a thing without highlighting words. My general consensus is that people, too many, just want to make a site about something they like, and just throw some stuff that they know of it and make some sort of a site that they expect to be a really good site. While I didn't see anything as bad as metioned in Tiff's editorial on bad SM sites, what I've seen for the most part is that people just want to say they have a site, and just throw some stuff without having knowledge and understanding of what it means to have a site. I really can't give these people any good advice to makie their sites better, because they're not really about anything. I'd pretty much be making whole sites. Basically, what I'm trying to say is if you want to make a site, that's great. But if you want to make a site just to say you have one, don't. It's really not worth it as most of the time, nothing will come out of it. Now being done with all that, head on over to see the new links! You'll notice there are a lot more added then I metioned, well, there were sites I've been wanting to add, but didn't get to, and I decided to add them on today since I was doing the submissions today.

July 18th, 2001 Tiff - I'm alive

Hey, Tiff here. I know I haven't updated anything with the opinions, but it's for a good reason. I'm going to college and working full time. That's enough for me to handle right now. but I did get a rather interesting flame..or..something (O.o; ) that I just had to respond to. I at least can try to give you guys something. Until I have more free time, you won't see the opinions updated anytime soon. Thanks for your patience! ^_^
