January 6th, 2004 Dan - Backlog done

Let's kick off this new year with a bang! Phobos is complete, about a couple of weeks after the last update, the domain finally pointed over here, I finished setting some stuff up that I had to wait for the domain for, then I celebrated by downing a 40oz bottle of beer. And yes, I did that in the middle of the week that week it meant that much to me, I was so fricken happy when I was done. And the project has been a great success so far, no big snags as of yet, it's been a huge success.

However, when I said let's kick the new year off with a bang, phobos isn't what I was talking about. Phobos was a good way to end off 2003, what I'm talking about now is 2004, and getting some momentum started this year. So what have I done to start off the year? I have taken a HUGE chunk out of my backlog. Yesterday (it's 4AM now so I can say that =P @_@;; ) I had the day off, and I had made another New Year's resolution, and that was to get off my ass and get some work done around here, and start picking up the pace around here. I can proudly say that ALL of my two cents in every comparison is DONE. I am caught up and can keep up with Bob once he decides to get off his lazy ass to do more.

In November, my dad got my mom a 3-in-1 printer-scanner-copier thingy for her birthday, and a couple weeks ago I hooked that up for her and all, taking back to my place her old scanner. With this scanner, I have finished the SuperS coverart archive. Ok, you'll notice one "best of" VHS not there, but that tape must either not exist or not be important enough for any online retailer to have a scan of. Hell, even Geneon's own site doesn't have an image of the tape. So unless someone owns the tape and wants to scan it for me, don't expect it up. The same goes for the ADV's Sailor Moon R box, I refuse to buy it so if anyone wants to donate scans of it for the site, please e-mail me and I'll tell you what I need and what size and all. On the note of the SMR box, I've scanned parts of the SMC box having a little ADV uncut DVD cover archive as well.

People have been telling me about this for over a month now, so I've decided to report on Geneon's Signature Series line of products. This little news article gives all the details you need, and to answer this ahead of time, I don't plan to make a coverart archive for the Signature Series line since there is no difference besides an ugly red bar on the top of the products.

And I'm still going. I waited months to do this for fear that something would happen right after I posted it, just like the last editorial. Well, it looks like things are finally at a standstill to safely make a second part to my previous editorial. This editorial focuses on how ADV has responded to the issues with their releases of the uncut first two seasons.

Nope, I'm not done yet! The little segment in the "about us" section needed some updating, so I updated my stuff in there. And the section I know a lot of people have wanted to see be updated finally has. That's right, I've gone through and redone the links page, after not touching it in like a couple years I think.

With all that, I'm drained, and heading off to bed to rest up for starting more stuff when I get up. I'm not stopping now, this is a great start to the year and I'm going to make sure much more follows.
