SMR Movie info update (March 24th, 2001)

The following is a clip from http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=8470: Sailor Moon R movie will not air at 5:00 PM during Toonami on Friday, March 16, 2001. Instead the movie is tentatively re-scheduled to air during Toonami on Friday, May 18, 2001 at 5:00 pm (e/p). The movie was re-scheduled because Cartoon Network is trying to obtain final approvals from the publisher, to air the movie during Toonami. This is the first time Sailor Moon R the movie will broadcast on Cartoon Network so Cartoon Netwrok is making sure they do not infringe upon any copyrights and trademark laws. There is a good chance that "Sailor Moon S", the second Sailor Moon Movie will not air on Friday, April 13th 2001. Since my news clip last week, it was found out that TV Guide had Tree of Might printed in their schedule, which is a week ahead. Now, if Akins knew that SMR wouldn't air, why would he make promos for it? Is he trying to make up for no SS episopde promos by making R movie promos which hasn't aired? It doesn't make sense, making and AIRING promos if it wasn't finalized yet. I guess time will tell to see what will happen with the movies airing on TV.
