Offical news on first DVD/VHSs with pics (December 28th, 2000)
Everything I've guessed regarding the release of the first SMS VHSs and DVD has been confirmed. The first DVD will have the first seven episodes of S, with four in the first VHS and three in the second. The offical info can be found at http://www.image-entertainment.com/news/dvd-news.html or below, if you want to save yourself from scrolling. Also below the news reading are the pics of the first two VHSs. While they look pretty good, I would expect Pioneer to do better, but oh well. Heres the news clip:

  • Serena and her friends would have enjoyed the peaceful rest since their last battle, but they have been studying for their high school entrance exams! However, a new plot is forming and their new enemies plan to conquer the world by harnessing a mysterious power generated by pure hearts! Sailor Moon and the Scouts are in trouble when mysterious warriors suddenly help them--who are they? And what is this new power that Sailor Moon suddenly can use against stronger enemies? Meanwhile, the Evil Professor and Kaorinite search for pure hearts to steal. Dreams of a first kiss or honest feelings of love and admiration make innocent people targets for their sinister plan. When Lita becomes a target, Sailor Uranus and Neptune seem to hesitate to save her. And what is the real purpose of stealing pure hearts? Episodes 1-7, uncut.

And here are the two VHS cover art designs. The first one is obviously the first tape and the second one is for the second tape. I also have the orginal episode numbers below each of what episodes they'll both have.

    Episodes 90 - 93

    Episodes 94 - 96

So there we have it folks, finally some signs from Pioneer! I'll be sure to post more as they happen. I'm also going to pre-order the DVD and soon after I get it, I'll have a nice, full review of it for the editorial section.
